About Us

I was born in Istanbul and completed my primary education in Karşıyaka. In 1997, I graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Dokuz Eylül University. I went to England to improve my language skills, where I also completed a master’s degree in Business Administration before returning to Türkiye. After working as an engineer in Izmir for two years, my wife and I moved to Sydney in 2005. For the past 20 years, I have been continuing my profession at a medical device company.

Inspired by Atatürk’s vision of history, I developed an interest in Turkology — the study of Turkish culture and identity. I began conducting various studies in this field and made cultural visits to Türkiye, Japan and Kyrgyzstan. Over time, my fascination with the richness of Turkish history, language, and culture deepened even further.

To share what I have learned, on November 12, 2024, I founded a private educational institution in Sydney, Australia, called the Turkology Institute, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Institute of Turkic Studies, established by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1924.

Although I am not a Turkologist, I am inspired by the words of Annemarie Von Gabain, a Sinologist from Ankara University: “Turkology is a profession for foreigners, but a national duty for Turks.” Motivated by deep respect for our ancestral heritage, I continue this journey with amateur passion but complete dedication.
